Robyn Calder

Board Member, The ELMA Philanthropies

Robyn Calder is President of ELMA Philanthropies, the services arm of The ELMA Group of Foundations, which is focused on improving the lives of children and their families, particularly in Africa.  

In addition to being on the board of ELMA Philanthropies, Robyn is on the board of The ELMA South Africa Foundation, which invests in organizations protecting the constitutional rights of people in South Africa. She is also a founding board member of the newly established Masana wa Afrika, a South Africa based foundation that spun out of ELMA’s community grants program, and which supports community-based organizations that serve children across Africa.  

Robyn is a member of the Royal Bank of Canada Philanthropy Advisory Council, Last Mile Health’s Advisory Council, and the board of The END Fund, which focuses on ending neglected tropical diseases.    

Robyn has an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, a MSc in Political Sociology from the London School of Economics, and a BA in Development Studies from UC Berkeley. 

She lives in NYC with her two daughters.
