Joan Musenya is a global partnerships and fundraising professional with a wealth of experience advancing health equity, gender justice, and sustainable development across Sub-Saharan Africa. As Senior Associate Director of Investor Relations at The END Fund, she supports the development and stewardship of foundation partnerships that align with the organization’s mission to end neglected tropical diseases (NTDs).
Prior to joining The END Fund, Joan led high-impact advocacy and fundraising portfolios at Afya Yetu Coalition, NEPHAK, and the global consortia supported by the EU, USAID, and the Love Alliance. Her work has focused on proposal design, donor engagement, and community-led grantmaking to support the health and rights of historically underserved populations, particularly young women, and people living with HIV and marginalized communities.
Joan is deeply committed to building partnerships that are both strategic and values-aligned. She has successfully stewarded multimillion-dollar investments across diverse global funders, helping to scale community-led programming and influence international health policy. She brings deep experience working across cultural and institutional boundaries, and believes in the power of collaborative philanthropy to drive systems change.
Joan holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and a Master of Business Administration in Health Management. She is based in Nairobi, Kenya. In her free time, Joan enjoys spending quality time with her daughter and their two insanely loved furry companions, Bingo and Coco.
