Temiloluwa Johnson

Temiloluwa Johnson (b. 2001) is a photojournalist and storyteller based in Lagos, Nigeria. Her works are centred around identity, social and cultural expression, as well as environmental issues— typical human condition.

She seeks the whys and hows of the human identity through her images.

She has been exhibited by PictureThis for the Sony World Photography Organization. Her work has been featured in print/online at Photovogue, The Continent, The Republic and is forthcoming in a few local outlets. Temiloluwa has been shortlisted by notable grants like Ian Parry Photojournalism Grant and Magnum Photos Beyond The Silence Project. Currently, she is a World Press Photo Contest Winner for Africa Singles category in 2025; the only Nigerian on the list.

She is a new cultural artist with a new voice. She wishes that with every photo, she tells a story that resonates. Temmy is deeply committed to sustainability, identity, poetry, film, travel, love, hugs and black clothing.
