Heather is the Senior Director on the External Relations team, where she is responsible for expanding the END Fund community and enhancing partnership opportunities, as well as the planning and execution of a variety of events. She joined the END Fund in 2015. Previously, she served as Vice President for Programs at Washington, DC-based Meridian International Center, which works closely with the U.S. State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program. There, she was charged with creating programs, forums, seminars, and conferences for a variety of constituents, including the diplomatic community, the U.S. Government, international visitors, and members of Meridian’s various councils.
Before Meridian, Heather was the Manager of Events at the think tank, Center for Global Development (CGD), responsible for coordinating over 100 seminars and events each year to promote the work and initiatives of the Center. Prior to that, she worked with Barnes & Noble, both in their corporate New York office, as well as managing author events and book signings in Washington, DC. She has also worked in the independent film division of both PBS and Miramax Films.
Heather received her Master’s degree in literature from the University of North Texas and holds a BA in English from the University of Oklahoma.
Heather lives just outside of Washington, DC with her husband and two whippets, within walking distance of the AFI theater, where you’ll find her for film festivals, documentary screenings, and foreign films.
