Ana Gabriela Power comes to the END Fund from Population Services International where she served as an Associate Program Manager for Southern Africa. In this role she provided programmatic, financial, and contractual management support to country platforms in Lesotho and Zambia. She previously worked at Plan International as a Global Program Assurance Senior conducting and supporting project management audits to assess project design, implementation, monitoring & evaluation within the context of each country’s strategic plan.
Prior to that, Ana held several positions over the course of a six year tenure at Operation Smile, Inc., starting as a Program Coordinator in Nicaragua and eventually overseeing all of their comprehensive care treatment programs for patients with cleft lip and palate in 14 countries throughout Latin America and the Caribbean as the Regional Program Director. She led capacity building programs, implemented medical supply procurement processes, provided program management oversight, and supported public-private partnerships. In 2010, Ana was one of the lead coordinators on the ground in Haiti for Operation Smile’s relief efforts after the 2010 earthquake, working with the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative to provide emergency surgical care.
Ana Gabriela holds a Master of Science in Public Health in Developing Countries from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and received a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and International Business from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN. Ana speaks Portuguese and is a native Spanish speaker. She loves running and cultivating her meditation and yoga practice.
