Ending parasitic worm infections for the world’s poorest students
More than 1 billion children around the world still require regular treatment for intestinal worms. These parasites stunt children’s cognitive growth and cause sickness forcing them to miss school. A recent longterm study showed that children who receive more deworming medicine will miss less school and earn more income decades later in life. These treatments are mind-blowingly cheap costing less than 50 cents per year for each child.
