Determined to see the end | UFAR’s mission to see the end of neglected tropical diseases in the Democratic Republic of Congo

After many years living in the United States, Daniel Shungu decided to take an early retirement from his job. However, he didn’t plan on taking a normal retirement. He immediately saw the opportunity to return to his native country , the Democratic Republic of Congo, and see what he could do to improve peoples’ lives.

More than 15 years later, the organization that Daniel started from his home in Princeton is treating millions of people for neglected tropical diseases each year.
