Diana Benton Schechter

Chief Operating Officer

Diana Benton Schechter is Chief Operating Officer at the END Fund. Her work ensures excellence in governance and operations across the organization’s global team, and alignment of all financial, operational and human resources towards the END Fund’s strategic aims within and across its philanthropic investment funds. She oversees the Strategy & Operations, Finance & Administration, Communications, and Culture & Talent teams, and also serves as Secretary to the END Fund US and END Fund UK Boards of Directors.

Prior to joining the END Fund in 2017, Diana led strategic planning at the Atlantic Philanthropies, the limited life foundation founded by Charles F. Feeney. Between 1982 and 2016, Atlantic committed more than $9 billion to social change around the world. Prior to joining Atlantic in 2007, Diana was a consultant at Robinson Lerer & Montgomery (now FGS Global), a strategic communications and crisis management firm based in New York. With 20 years of experience in nonprofit operations, communications, and philanthropic grantmaking, Diana is an advocate for collaborative philanthropy and nontraditional philanthropic models.

Diana’s nonprofit board service includes One World Surgery and Discovery to Cure (Yale University). She is a member of the Columbia College Young Leaders Council and a longtime fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. She earned a BA from Columbia University and an MPA from New York University. Diana lives in New York City with her husband and two daughters.
